Field work, Ethiopia (2017)

I received a Richard Bradfield Research Award to investigate historical land fragmentation and it's effect on food security, involving in person interviews and supervision of data collectors.

Survey work, Malawi (2016-2017)

For my thesis, I designed and implemented a low-burden monthly survey on a mobile platform. My responsibilities included writing and coding the survey, training enumerators, and working closely with Catholic Relief Agency (CSR) on operational issues. I also provided real-time analysis of the data, which we shared with policymakers and government officials.

Consultant, Nepal (2015-2016)

Working with the World Bank, I designed and implemented agricultural extension training through a randomized control trial (RCT). I collected and digitized supplemental data on farmer group's monthly attendance and fees paid.

ODI fellow, Liberia (2012-2014)

As an ODI fellow I worked in the Ministry of Finance, advising the minister on investments in priority sectors: infrastructure, energy and agriculture. I also provided capacity building support to the Liberia Development Alliance, a newly formed national coordinating agency for government and donors

Co-founder, Masomo Mashinani, Kenya (2010-2012)

As an undergrad I helped launch a mentoring center in the Kibaki neighborhood of Nairobi, where university students tutored underprivileged kids. Our project was funded by the Projects for Peace Foundation.
